What are NCI's future plans for the SEER-MHOS?

NCI plans to:

• expand SEER-MHOS linkage to include 2000-2002 data;
• develop a manuscript that provides an overview of SEER-MHOS;
• create a linkage between SEER data and data from the Consumer Assessment of Health Plans Survey (CAHPS) data so as to extend patient-reported outcomes to include patient experience with care;
• create a Fee-for-Service HRQOL sample and link to Medicare claims data;
• initiate studies using the SEER Rapid Response Surveillance Studies mechanism related to HRQOL and patient experience; and
• create a cancer peer review organization (PRO) supplement module for MHOS/CAHPS.
